NC State spinout Teen Health Research, Inc. recently completed the National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps Teams Program.

An intensive, seven-week training program designed to help researchers gain valuable insights into current industry challenges and pain points, I-Corps challenges participating teams to complete interviews with at least 100 potential customers and partners of their technology by the end of the program.

Teen Health Research, Inc. is modernizing sexual education through the development of a platform to better help teens and their parents talk about sexual health.

The Teen Health Research team was awarded a $50,000 grant from NSF to complete their customer interviews as part of the program.

With the insights gleaned from real stakeholders in the sexual health education ecosystem, Teen Health Research will update its minimum viable product concept, refine its business plan, and continue to pursue federal SBIR/STTR funding to further develop its MVP.
